Default Discordian

The principles of chaos motivate the Discordian's actions. Where others see order, the Discordian sees restriction of the spirit. Clever and unpredictable, the Discordian taps into chaotic forces to disrupt, mislead and obfuscate. This "battle mage", clad in robes, can stand toe-to-toe with any fighter or dervish. Wielding blunt weapons (clubs, maces, bowstaves...think: one or two handed options as for warriors), the Discordian can deal a heavy-handed blow with a magical bite. Using magic for defense as well as dishing out agony, the Discordian has a way of turning battle by causing unexpected results...diverting damage to allies of his foe, spells misfiring and causing reverse effect and "peculiar happenings" such as flames turning to flowers or foes being teleported. Part tirckster, the discordian has a dark sense of humor, sometimes appearant by their choice of headgear and weapons (often depicting grinning skulls and dark birds).

Armor: Robes. The Discordian relies heavily on charms and talismans for protection.

Weapons: (blunt) Mace, club>one-handed...bow/quarter staves>two-handed

offhand: talisman/charm...like a warrior's sheild, this method of magical protection offsets damage that the thinly armored Discordian might otherwise take. Requirements may be in Chaos Magic or Obfuscation depending on the type of protection it offers.

Attributes:

Chaos Magic: primarily offensive spells; many that add damage to weapon attacks as the Discordian's physical attacks only rely on adrenaline if they are using warior weapons with a warrior as their secondary profesion. Aslo, skills that cause foes to have oddly bad luck (think curses) find their origins in chaos magics...

Obfuscation: obfuscation is concealment through confusion...you can't hit what you can't see (blind/dazed-conditions...or reduced damage through enchantments and stances).

Stave Mastery: Staves provide both limited protection as well as a possibility of double strike (once each end). The higher this attribute is, the greater the likelihood of a double strike or a strike and block (something like a built in 5-10% chance to block physical damage). While these type of staves are used as a fighting weapon, they, like a warriors hammer, offer less protection...

Club Mastery: Maces, small hammers, clubs and the like for those who want a little more protection from talismans and charms. Between wands and staves of casters, the Discordian may choose between a one or two-handed approach. While using a single-handed weapon, the offhand (charm or talsman) offers protection in much the way a fighter uses a sheild.

Just another idea for you to pick apart....have at 'er.

Assuming Obfuscation is the attribute with healing spells, you basicly have a class with no primary attribute, no new features to add to the game, and well maybe a decent name........ better than most, sounds more like an instrument though, Accordion.

But whY? All casters in the game have 2 types AND the Warrior has THREE!! The only ones with one are the Dervish, Assassin and Paragon.... (Ranger hardly counts with all the types/ranges of bows) ...just thought I'd mix it up a bit.

BTW I was thinking Chaos Magic would be the primary attribute...was in a hurry:typing at work....
